COMPANY
How did I get into business?
The question I always get asked.
My answer involves (in no particular order) husband, cakes, family, Pink Hummer, kids, dental office, grace ormonde, Preston Bailey and television.
Okay, okay, okay……I have always been artistic since I could hold a crayon, but I could never figure out how I could use my artistic creativity and make a living. Until 9 years ago. I worked as a dental assistant and started a wedding cake business on the side. During the first 4 years, I learned a bit more about the wedding industry (married my husband) and decided to get more involved in the business and expanded into the event design with my sister in law “Wendy”. I have not regretted one day, I LOVE MY JOB! I am part of one of the most happiest days of my clients lives.
My first year doing event design, I had my first little princess. So I focused all my time on maternity leave from the dental office building my business, doing wedding cakes and taking care of my little princess! Busy….not even close yet! Then I went back to work full time at the dental office, ran my business and still making wedding cakes, expanded again…renting linens to other décor companies and got pregnant again! After my second little princess was born, I did not return to the dental office, it would have been crazy, even for me, so I focused all my time on the business and my family.
Now, I am full time running the business from home, and have another addition to the family (yes, 3 beautiful girls) but I have a fantastic team to help me out when needed.
Wendy helps out whenever she can, but since she works full time still, it is hard for her to be involved in everything. My husband is the biggest help, he works full time at a local car dealership and spends his nights and weekends helping me out with the company and our little angels. (Thanks Hun!) I am not your traditional decorator. I don’t do French doors, icicle lights or lighted pillars. There are lots of other companies out there for those things.
I create events with a spark of colour and a touch of texture. I want to awaken your imagination and make it a reality. I make dreams come true with a creative palette that knows no boundaries. I begin each and every design process with the attitude of all things are possible if you believe. The results speak for themselves!

I take a limited number of cakes, usually projects for clients with extraordinary style that doesn't just want a wedding cake but a show piece! And clients that use our decorating services for their events also get a sweet deal on a cake.New for 2010 Cake Rentals, this is for the brides that dont want a cake, but for tradition purposes have a fake cake, with a small 6 to cut for the traditional cake cutting pictures.
